Mario Tennis Fever gets Super Mario Galaxy-themed 1.1.0 update
Nintendo has released version 1.1.0 for Mario Tennis Fever on Switch 2, introducing thematic content from Super Mario Galaxy. The update features a new Fever Racket called the Black Hole Racket, which creates a destructive vortex during Fever Shots that pulls nearby opponents toward it and inflicts damage, potentially eliminating players from the match.
Alongside the new racket, players can access a Galaxy Court set on a Mario Galaxy planetoid with distinct mechanics including slower ball movement and heightened bounces. The update also introduces a Play via GameChat mode enabling non-owners of the game to participate in matches with friends who do own it. Additional adjustments include character and racket balancing refinements and simplified Star Shot execution. The update's release coincides with the upcoming launch of the Super Mario Galaxy Movie on Peacock on July 30th.
