Mariska Hargitay has suggested that Christopher Meloni will reprise Elliot Stabler in “Law & Order: SVU”, apparently for the show’s 600th episode. Her Instagram photos of the pair together on set indicate another reunion between Stabler and Olivia Benson, making the appearance notable after Meloni’s full-time series “Organized Crime” was cancelled.

Meloni first played Stabler when “SVU” launched in 1999 and left in 2011, later returning for guest appearances, including the show’s Season 27 premiere in September 2025. “SVU” has aired 594 episodes so far, with its 600th scheduled for Season 28, which premieres on 8 October; Meloni has previously described “Organized Crime” ending as closing the door on Stabler.
