Marissa Nadler and Seattle musician Milky Burgess have released a new cover of “Forever”, a song written by Buddy Killen. The collaboration reunites the pair after their 2025 EP The Bloody Gardener and highlights their continuing creative partnership, with Burgess also having contributed arrangements, recording and engineering to Nadler’s album New Radiations.

Nadler said she first fell in love with Pete Drake’s version of the song, which was originally released by the Little Dippers and Billy Walker in January 1960. She and Burgess had created the basic structure of their cover some time ago, but recently revisited and reworked it before releasing the finished track.
