Peacock says Married at First Sight has attracted a significantly larger audience for its 20th season, with streaming up 94% on the previous season. The performance suggests the dating reality series is gaining momentum after moving from Lifetime to Peacock, where it is now among the streamer’s most successful original reality seasons.

Since its 12 July premiere, Season 20 has generated more than 1.2 billion viewing minutes, according to Peacock’s internal figures, ranking third among its original reality seasons by reach. Nielsen ranked it among the top three reality programmes for four consecutive weeks from 13 July, while social clips have received more than 25 million views; the finale and reunion will air on 27 August.
