Tennessee Republican congressional candidate acknowledges sending nude photos

Tennessee State Senator Brent Taylor, a Republican candidate for the US House, acknowledged sending nude photos after the Nashville Scene reported that multiple people had received or seen them. The allegations have drawn scrutiny because Taylor has presented himself as a conservative Christian and family man, and his Democratic opponent has criticised his response.

One person told the Nashville Scene they received an unsolicited photo in 2021, when Taylor was 53; another source corroborated the existence of photos. Taylor, 58, called his past conduct “youthful indiscretions” and said his wife knew about it and had forgiven him. He has served in the Tennessee Senate since 2022, won the Republican nomination for the 9th Congressional District in August, and was endorsed by Donald Trump in July.
