A comedy spinoff centred on a character from the classic sitcom Martin is launching on Paramount+ next month. The Varnell Hill Show stars Tommy Davidson reprising his guest role as the titular talk show host, with the premiere airing two episodes on September 1 and additional episodes rolling out weekly through mid-October.

The half-hour series follows Davidson's character as he attempts to maintain relevance within the rapidly evolving entertainment industry whilst contending with network executives, a chaotic writers' room, celebrity guests, and his own considerable ego. The cast includes Kym Whitley and Wendy Raquel Robinson, with appearances from established comedians and Martin Lawrence, who serves as an executive producer alongside showrunner Bentley Kyle Evans.
