Nashville songwriter Wyatt McCubbin made his Grand Ole Opry debut in May, performing three songs including one co-written with country star Marty Stuart, who joined him on stage. The performance was highlighted in a new Instagram post from the Opry, with hitmaker Luke Combs, for whom McCubbin has written songs, praising him as a "literal legend" in the comments.

During his debut, McCubbin performed "Andy Griffith," "Red Off My Neck," and "I Love You," the latter written with Stuart. McCubbin, who has also penned tracks for Lainey Wilson, has described Stuart as a mentor and close friend after the pair met through fellow songwriter Rhett Akins and began writing together regularly. Reflecting on the night afterwards, McCubbin said he felt "humbled" standing in the Opry's famous circle.
