Marvel Comics will publish a new Indiana Jones limited series, Indiana Jones and the Sword of Pandemonium, beginning in December 2026. The announcement is significant because it marks Marvel’s first new Indiana Jones comic in years, despite Disney owning Lucasfilm for more than a decade and actively expanding Star Wars in comics.

Revealed at San Diego Comic-Con’s Lucasfilm Publishing panel, the five-issue series follows on directly from Raiders of the Lost Ark. Written by Jason Aaron and illustrated by Aaron Kuder, it sees Indy searching for a biblical weapon after former enemies pursue a new source of power connected to Marion Ravenwood; Marvel says it will begin a new era of Indiana Jones storytelling.
