Marvel Officially Announces New X-Men Series After Live-Action Debut

Collider · 1 hour ago

Marvel Studios has announced the cast for its forthcoming X-Men film reboot, unveiled at D23 earlier this week. The ensemble includes Sadie Sink reprising Jean Grey following her recent live-action introduction in a Spider-Man film, alongside performers taking on roles as Scott Summers, Charles Xavier, Emma Frost, Rogue, and Storm, with Adam Driver appearing as Nathaniel Milbury. Director Jake Schreier will guide the untitled project toward its scheduled May 2028 theatrical release, though studio leadership has indicated further casting details remain forthcoming.

Alongside the film announcement, Marvel is expanding the X-Men universe through a limited comic book series centred on Jean Grey. The five-issue run, written by Jed MacKay with artwork by Rogê Antônio, begins publication in November 2026 and follows a crossover narrative event launching the previous month that brings together X-Men and Fantastic Four storylines. This multimedia release strategy demonstrates Marvel's approach to developing mutant characters simultaneously across film and comics formats.
