The move continues the studio's drawn-out tease of Sink's role, with speculation still centred on whether she is playing X-Men telepath Jean Grey, Mary Jane Watson, or an entirely different character, keeping fans no closer to a definitive answer.

The clip lasts only around five seconds and shows little movement or dialogue, with Sink's line cut off by censor bars and bleeps after she says "What would you do if…". Fans have seized on details such as her dark hair and green eyes, plus the odd editing that makes her mouth appear not to move, as evidence supporting the Jean Grey theory, with many speculating the missing dialogue relates to restoring memories of Peter Parker. Star Tom Holland has previously denied Jean Grey appears in the film, and Marvel has not confirmed Sink's role, though further clarity should arrive when Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens in cinemas on Friday 31 July.
