Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls releases final trailer featuring a quip-happy Deadpool

Polygon · 9 hours ago

Arc System Works has released the final trailer for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls ahead of its 6 August launch, highlighting its story mode, visual style and Deadpool’s fourth-wall-breaking humour. The four-versus-four fighting game centres on a tournament arranged by the Champion of the Universe to determine Earth’s fate, and its release matters because early player feedback has praised its presentation while raising serious concerns about PC performance.

The trailer reiterates that comic writer Kieron Gillen wrote the story and that the game will feature 20 playable characters, while also introducing the party-style Battle Arcadia side mode. A recent beta drew strong approval for its animation, soundtrack and characters such as Magik, who was the most-played fighter among the 16 available, but players reported poor frame rates and online problems on PC as well as unusually slow combat; Arc System Works says it will address the port’s issues before launch.

  • Final trailer showcases Marvel Tokon before its 6 August release.
  • Beta players praised style but criticised severe PC performance problems.
  • Arc System Works promises fixes with little time before launch.
