An upcoming Apple TV series will expand the MonsterVerse by centring on Lee Shaw, a character introduced in 'Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.' Kurt Russell portrays Shaw in his younger years whilst his son Wyatt Russell plays the character in his later life, with the narrative split between the Cold War era and contemporary times. Millie Brady and Pilou Asbaek round out the supporting cast for the as-yet unnamed production.

The ensemble includes several performers recognised for playing opposing forces in Marvel films: Corey Stoll, who appeared as both Yellowjacket and MODOK across the Ant-Man franchise; Ralph Ineson, featured as Galactus in the recent Fantastic Four instalment; and Nyasha Hatendi. The central premise involves Shaw racing against time to stop the Soviet Union from releasing a catastrophic monster that threatens global security.
