Marvel Studios has unveiled the first trailer for VisionQuest at Disney’s D23 event, showing Vision’s life after escaping Westview and setting up a renewed confrontation with Ultron. The Disney Plus series concludes the television storyline that began with WandaVision and continued in Agatha All Along, focusing on Vision’s identity, autonomy and possible connection to a young boy who may be his reincarnated son.
Marvel’s synopsis says Vision has been hiding while consulting AI personas embedded in his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H. and J.A.R.V.I.S., before a bounty forces him to flee with Thomas Shepard. Paul Bettany returns as Vision and James Spader reprises Ultron, while the cast also includes Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy Maximoff, Faran Tahir, Todd Stashwick and T’Nia Miller; VisionQuest premieres on Disney Plus on 14 October.

Vision is an android superhero in Marvel’s screen universe, first introduced in the film Avengers: Age of Ultron. He was created using advanced artificial intelligence and a powerful object called the Mind Stone, and later formed a relationship with Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch.
In WandaVision, Wanda and Vision lived in the fictional town of Westview, where Wanda used her powers to create an altered reality after Vision’s death. The series also introduced a rebuilt version of Vision, often called White Vision, who regained memories of the original but left to work out who he was.
Ultron is the hostile artificial intelligence responsible for Vision’s original creation and was previously defeated by the Avengers. The story also connects to Wanda and Vision’s twin children, Billy and Tommy, whose existence has remained uncertain outside Wanda’s altered reality.
