Marvel’s Wolverine will not retell Logan’s early life or depict the procedure that gave him his adamantium skeleton, according to the game’s creators. The decision positions the title as a new story centred on an already-established version of the character, rather than another adaptation of his familiar origin.

The developers said they are “not doing an origin story”, ruling out a focus on the events that turned Logan into Wolverine. Adamantium is a defining part of the character’s history, so omitting its introduction suggests the game will assume players already understand the basic premise and move directly into its main plot.
