Masego’s third studio album, *Fix Your Face*, marks a more introspective new phase for the Grammy-nominated musician following the loss of his Los Angeles home in the January 2025 Southern California wildfires. He says the destruction of personal items, including photographs, instruments and family heirlooms, forced him to reassess his identity and briefly left him angry at God.

The album was due for release on 17 July through EQT Recordings and Capitol Records, following his 2023 self-titled LP. Masego had lived in Los Angeles for a decade, where his 2017 FKJ collaboration “Tadow” helped establish him as an R&B artist and collaborator; he now lives in New York and says a challenge from his manager helped motivate the new record.
