Dancehall star Masicka has released his third studio album, Forever Reign, on 14 August via Def Jam, timed just before his headlining debut at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. The 17-track record was recorded across Jamaica, Canada and Nigeria, reflecting his global, Black diaspora-focused approach, and follows a run of hits that has established him as one of the decade's leading dancehall artists.

The album's lead single, "Slip & Slide", built on Di Genius's "Hill & Gully" riddim, has amassed over 3.1 million official on-demand US streams and 10.7 million YouTube views, and features in 360,000 TikTok posts. Produced largely by Dunw3ll, Forever Reign blends Masicka's signature trap-inflected dancehall with 2000s hip-hop and Afrobeats influences, including a collaboration with Blaqbonez. Masicka, who has earned over 57 million US streams in 2026 alone, described the record as reflecting newfound maturity, calling it "more on the uplifting side, lots of hope and self-belief."
