Mattel Officially Announces New Hot Wheels and Uno Adaptations
Mattel has announced Mattel Game Studios, a new division dedicated to developing video games based on its toy and entertainment brands, including Uno and Hot Wheels. The move expands Mattel’s wider push to turn its established intellectual property into films, streaming projects and games.
The studio will employ nearly 300 staff across Los Angeles and Hangzhou, China, and has already released the mobile endless runner Skeletor: Until Next Time. Upcoming projects include Uno Wild and an unnamed Hot Wheels game, while Mattel’s broader games slate features Barbie Rewind, Hot Wheels Infinite Rush and Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction; separate Hot Wheels and Barbie film projects are also in development.
