Country singer Megan Moroney has said she is taking a break from dating while touring, saying relationships have previously distracted her and spoilt important moments in her career. She told Cosmopolitan that being single has helped her focus on herself, her work and enjoying her success more clearly.

Moroney’s profile has grown rapidly since her 2023 debut album, Lucky, and her latest record, Cloud 9, includes collaborations with Ed Sheeran and Kacey Musgraves. She said she may consider dating again after her European tour ends in October, but for now she is enjoying life with the dog she adopted in February.
