Meredith Hayden Lands Netflix Deal for ‘Wishbone Kitchen’ Video Podcast (EXCLUSIVE)
Food influencer and former private chef Meredith Hayden has signed a deal with Netflix to make an original "Wishbone Kitchen" video podcast, marking another example of the streamer commissioning original programming from internet creators. Hayden, an ex-Vogue staffer who built a large following on TikTok and Instagram and wrote the bestselling "The Wishbone Kitchen Cookbook", rose to prominence through her viral "Day in My Life as a Private Chef in the Hamptons" series. The move underlines Netflix's continued belief that it can profit from the podcast category.
The weekly show, in which Hayden will cook through cosy recipes, share kitchen tips and discuss the everyday rituals of home life, will premiere on Netflix in August, with an exact date to be confirmed. It is produced by Somehow Studios and executive produced by Greg T. Gordon and Joe Sabia, with Hayden also serving as an executive producer. The deal adds to Netflix's growing podcast slate, which includes "The Pete Davidson Show" and licensed titles such as "The Bill Simmons Podcast" and "Pardon My Take", alongside a joint Spotify licensing deal for Jay Shetty's "On Purpose" reportedly worth up to $100 million.
