Miami mistakenly post James ‘introductory’ video

BBC Sport · 3 hours ago

The Miami Heat accidentally posted a link on YouTube to an "introductory press conference" for LeBron James, briefly fuelling speculation that the NBA star had chosen to join the club before quickly deleting it. A Heat spokesperson said the video was uploaded in error by staff who had been preparing materials in case James did sign with the team, and James himself has not yet decided where he will play next season.

The livestream link, dated for 27 July, appeared on the Heat's channel on Tuesday. James, 41, announced in June he was leaving the Los Angeles Lakers after eight years, having previously spent four seasons with Miami between 2010 and 2014. A move back to Florida would pair him with new signing Giannis Antetokounmpo and centre Bam Adebayo, though his agent, Rich Paul, said this week that James is "not going to be rushed" into a decision.
