Irish singer-songwriter Mick Rochford has released ‘Sticks and Stones’, a new single addressing the enduring harm caused by bullying. Blending pop-rock and folk influences, the track aims to encourage discussion while emphasising resilience, empathy and hope for people affected by bullying.

Rochford said the song draws on his own experiences, accounts from people close to him and wider public experiences, and that it was difficult to write. Formerly a drummer who performed with bands from the 1990s and supported Aslan, he is now preparing his debut album, ‘I’ve Got Something to Say’, which will collect his recent solo work.
