Explained simply

FlareFlow is a streaming service for short, serialised videos made to watch on a mobile phone, usually in a vertical format. These stories are often released in episodes and cover genres such as romance, fantasy and reality.

AIS is a major Thai telecoms operator whose services include the AIS Play entertainment platform. FlareFlow’s partnership with AIS gives it a route to reach people in Thailand, while AIS may add more mobile-focused programmes for its customers.

The service brings subtitled titles from several countries, and the companies say they will explore making Thai programmes with local creators. The launch is part of a wider effort by FlareFlow to expand across Asia; it also reflects growing competition among services for audiences who watch entertainment on phones.
