Microsoft slaps a fresh coat of AI paint on the Microsoft 365 Roadmap
Microsoft has renamed the Microsoft 365 Roadmap as the “AI at Work roadmap”, positioning it as a single place for forthcoming Microsoft 365, Copilot, agent and other AI-related features. The change matters because it alters how administrators track planned product updates and further highlights Microsoft’s effort to centre AI in its business software.
Microsoft says it will publish committed capabilities as plans are finalised, replacing its previous twice-yearly release-wave approach, potentially giving administrators earlier notice. Information on Dynamics 365, Power Platform and Dataverse is due from September, while existing eligible roadmap content will move to the new experience by 15 November 2026; the article notes that the rebrand comes amid reportedly limited paid Copilot uptake and legal claims Microsoft disputes.
