Midjourney has acquired social astrology app Co-Star, according to Bloomberg, with financial terms undisclosed. The deal broadens Midjourney’s consumer ambitions beyond its AI image and video-generation tools and may help it develop a standalone app.

Co-Star reportedly has around 4.3 million monthly active users and provides birth charts, horoscopes and compatibility advice using a mix of AI and human-written content. Its team of about 24 employees has joined Midjourney, bringing experience in building consumer-facing products.
