Mike Love provides health update after concerning performances with The Beach Boys

Mike Love says performing with The Beach Boys in October lifted his spirits, while his recovery remains ongoing. His return drew concern after he stayed seated and sang backing vocals at two shows, following months of cancelled or postponed dates linked to his health.

Love said he is focusing his energy on rehabilitation but did not disclose his condition. The performances were on 10 October in Cincinnati and 11 October in Nashville; bandmate John Stamos described Love as facing serious health challenges, while former bandmate Al Jardine said the appearances troubled him. The Beach Boys are scheduled to perform in Florida on 13 November and Virginia on 14 November.
