Miley Cyrus has signed with Atlantic Records after two albums with Columbia, and confirmed she would "genuinely" like to return to acting, in a new interview published as part of her stint guest-editing music and culture magazine Wonderland. The label switch marks a fresh chapter for the Grammy-winning singer, who scored a huge hit with "Flowers" from her Columbia album "Endless Summer Vacation", and points to a possible pivot back towards film work after years focused on music.

For the Wonderland issue, Cyrus assembled figures she admires, including Dolly Parton, Daryl Hannah, her mother Tish Cyrus-Purcell and sister Noah Cyrus, alongside artists such as Kelela, Lykke Li, Sky Ferreira and Suzanne Vega. In a wide-ranging conversation with Hannah, Cyrus described songwriting as an almost spiritual process, likening it to "crossing over to another side", and said she would love to work with Hannah on future acting or directing projects, adding: "I have an idea. Call me."
