Despite its cheerful, gentle presentation, the game quietly explores a darker undercurrent: her pet cow, Milki, may be one of the last cows left in the world, and the community around Neha has fractured as a result. The premise matters because it shows developers finding a middle ground between purely relaxing "cosy games" and stories with genuine emotional weight, echoing the way films like My Neighbor Totoro let sombre themes sit in the background of a lighthearted tale.

According to co-developer Blibloop, the game's darker mystery around the cows' disappearance remains optional background lore that players can engage with or ignore without affecting the overall experience. Gameplay is deliberately simple, playable entirely with a mouse, and centres on delivering milk, chatting with locals such as a former postal worker and a forest-dwelling woman, and completing small quests, while managing Neha's stamina and getting her home before midnight. The narrative reportedly emerged organically during development, with the idea that Neha searches for a companion for Milki explaining why she must travel further from home, since a nearby cow would have undermined the story. The developers describe their aim as making an "uplifting" road-trip management game free of violence, despite its underlying melancholy themes.
