A custom simulation has shown that Minecraft can defeat the Ender Dragon without any player intervention, effectively beating itself. The experiment highlights how the game’s mobs, physics and random interactions can combine in unexpected ways when given extreme amounts of time.

YouTuber RedLogic used a Monte Carlo simulation and selected a seed with sufficient resources and a naturally generated End portal. Endermen took 35,510 simulated years to locate the portal; snow golems eventually destroyed the End Crystals, while creepers damaged the dragon, completing the process after 1.97 billion simulated years.
