MISERY INDEX Releases First New Single In Four Years, ‘Feral Future’

Blabbermouth · 5 hours ago

Baltimore death metal band Misery Index have released "Feral Future", their first new single in four years, alongside an official lyric video. The release marks a fresh start for the band following their return to Season Of Mist and comes ahead of their headline "An Epitaph for Endtimes" European summer tour, signalling renewed momentum for the veteran act after a lengthy gap between releases.

The track blends Misery Index's trademark death metal and grindcore intensity with lyrics urging a "rewilding" of damaged human spaces rather than domination over nature, according to vocalist and bassist Jason Netherton. "Feral Future" was among the first songs written for the band's upcoming eighth studio album and was mixed by Ricardo Borges and mastered by Jens Bogren. The European tour runs from late July into mid-August 2026, taking in dates including Wacken Open Air, Manchester and Swansea, as the band marks 25 years together.
