Mitch McConnell, 84, returns home after long hospitalization

Former US Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell, 84, has returned home after a lengthy hospital stay, according to reports. His return follows an extended period of medical treatment, though the specific illness or condition that led to his hospitalisation has not been detailed in available reporting.

McConnell, a long-serving Kentucky senator, has faced public health concerns in recent years, including previous falls and freezing episodes during press appearances that raised questions about his wellbeing. His discharge and homecoming will likely renew scrutiny of his fitness to continue in public life, given his age and prior health issues.
