MLB legend Alex Rodriguez reveals the foods he keeps in his kitchen fridge

Fox News · 2 hours ago

Former MLB star Alex Rodriguez has shared what he keeps stocked in his Los Angeles fridge and pantry, revealing that his eating habits have changed considerably since retiring from professional baseball a decade ago. The three-time MVP and World Series champion, now a businessman, sports-team owner and broadcaster, told Men's Health that he used to eat up to six times a day during his 25-year playing career to fuel a 162-game season, but now eats far less and admits he may sometimes "under-eat".

His fridge staples include water, eggs, spring lettuce, bananas, apples, oranges, blueberries, strawberries and hummus, alongside a few sodas kept for guests since he gave up soft drinks five years ago. His pantry, by contrast, is stocked with crisps, Doritos, Cheetos and cashews for late-night snacking, and he described himself as a "chips expert". A typical day involves eggs and oatmeal for breakfast, salad with chicken or fish for lunch, and steak or salmon with fries for dinner, alongside comfort foods reflecting his Dominican heritage such as rice, beans and fried plantains, plus seven to eight cups of coffee.
