The New England Revolution have condemned "antisemitic" and "discriminatory" chants directed at their Israeli striker Dor Turgeman by CF Montréal supporters during Saturday's MLS match in Quebec. Major League Soccer confirmed on Monday that it is investigating reports of discriminatory language aimed at a Revolution player, while both clubs said they were cooperating with the process. The episode has drawn attention partly because Turgeman responded defiantly on the pitch, and it comes amid wider MLS tensions over Israel-Palestine related conduct at matches.

Broadcast microphones captured Montréal fans chanting "free Palestine" shortly before Turgeman, 22, scored a tap-in goal in the 36th minute to put New England 2-0 up. He then stood before the home supporters' section with arms outstretched before cupping a hand to his ear and walking along the stand, with the match finishing 2-2. Montréal said it was reviewing the incident at Stade Saputo, while MLS has banned Israeli and Palestinian flags from its venues since October 2023, with exemptions for clubs rostering players from either country, and previously condemned an LAFC investor over anti-Israel social media posts in February 2025.
