‘MobLand’ Sets Season 2 Release Date Following Tom Hardy Fallout, Drops First Trailer
Paramount+ has confirmed that the British crime drama "MobLand" will return for its second season on 18 September, releasing a first-look teaser alongside the announcement. The news matters to fans because it follows a widely reported falling-out between star Tom Hardy and the show's producers, which briefly saw him exit the series before a meeting in London led to a reconciliation and his agreed return for Season 3.
The 10-episode second season follows the Harrigan crime family as they struggle to present a united front while rivals threaten their fractured empire, with Hardy's "fixer" character Harry Da Souza caught in the middle. The series was created by Ronan Bennett, with Jez Butterworth as showrunner and executive producer, and Hardy and Guy Ritchie among the executive producers. Its ensemble cast includes Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Paddy Considine and Toby Jones.
