Modders finally got a high-quality third-person camera working in Baldur’s Gate 3 for all you Dragon Age sickos
A new Baldur’s Gate 3 mod by Relysia adds a customisable over-the-shoulder third-person camera, offering players a closer, more action-RPG-style perspective. It matters because the game’s existing camera remains oriented towards its tactical, top-down design, while the mod gives players a more direct way to view exploration and their customised character.
The mod was uploaded to Nexus Mods last week and is shown working in the Undercity Ruins, although some animations appear slightly jittery. It supports adjustable field of view, camera offset, height and horizontal tracking speed, and is compatible with the WASD character movement mod; third-person-like views were previously possible through other camera tweaks, but this version offers more detailed controls.
