In short
- Season 1 starts at midnight EST on 6 November.

- Warzone adds Hajin and Zodiac, with Verdansk and Rebirth Island returning.
Explained simply
Call of Duty is a long-running series of military-themed video games, including Modern Warfare and the free-to-play battle royale game Warzone. In Warzone, players compete on large maps, while the main Modern Warfare games offer several ways to play, including story missions and matches against other players.
A season is a scheduled content update that adds maps, weapons and game modes, and may change how the games connect. Warzone has also included locations and content from different Call of Duty games, so integrating a new Modern Warfare game can affect what players find across both titles.
These updates matter to players who follow the games because new content can change where and how they play. Warzone’s arrival on Nintendo Switch 2 also makes it available on another platform.
