CCTV has captured the moment a ram-raid gang smashed a stolen car into the Yves Saint Laurent store on London's Bond Street, part of a six-week spree that netted an estimated £500,000 in stolen luxury goods. Ryan Brough, 32, and Max Tyson, 25, both of Islington, have admitted two counts of conspiracy to commit burglary after targeting a string of high-end boutiques using different stolen vehicles to ram open fortified shopfronts, an approach highlighting ongoing concerns about smash-and-grab crime against London's luxury retail district.

The pair's spree began at Bottega Veneta in Old Bond Street last November, netting £40,000 before they were disturbed by nearby builders, followed by raids at END Clothing in Soho and Loro Piana near Harrods, the latter yielding almost £400,000. They were finally arrested after returning to Bond Street in January to steal Yves Saint Laurent handbags worth up to £30,000 each, at around 2.58am on 23 January. A witness described watching the raid unfold and voiced concern about the time attackers spent at the scene and the lack of police presence. Two further defendants, chef Oliver Ndayizeye and career thief Sonny Stringer, have admitted assisting the gang by supplying a vehicle and handling stolen goods respectively.
