Pickup kills boy and man at Wichita youth football match
A pickup truck drove onto a youth soccer field at Stryker Sports Complex in Wichita, Kansas, during a game on Saturday, killing a six-year-old boy and a 35-year-old man. The driver, a 34-year-old woman, was taken into custody; authorities have not said whether the incident was deliberate or accidental.
At least 11 other people were injured, including three children aged five and nine, with some reported in critical condition. Police said the driver’s two children were in the truck, and one was due to play in a game. More than 30 witnesses have been interviewed, and police are asking anyone with video to share it.
