Montreal’s Flower Face Introduces New Album ‘Kill The Muse’
Montreal artist Flower Face has announced her new album, ‘Kill The Muse’, due on 5 February via Nettwerk. The record is described as introspective while also reflecting a move towards a better place, as she considers how to write when she is doing well.
The album follows this summer’s release of ‘Bad Dream’ and is previewed by the new single ‘Better The Devil’. Flower Face says the song came from a bleak period of isolation, destructive relationships and winter loneliness; parts of its original demo were kept for their rawness. She is due to preview the album at a sold-out show at London’s Lower Third on 18 November.

Explained simply
Flower Face is the musical project of Montreal-based singer-songwriter Ruby McKinnon. Her songs often draw on personal experiences and explore difficult emotions, including loneliness and troubled relationships.
‘Kill The Muse’ follows her earlier release ‘Bad Dream’. Its title refers to the idea of a muse as a source of creative inspiration, and the album considers how making music can change when life begins to improve.
