A cow named Vahine became stranded in mud on a mountain in the Pyrenees range in France and required an emergency helicopter rescue. Because the terrain was inaccessible by vehicle and the animal was too weak to descend independently, rescue teams airlifted her to safety.

The cow was secured to the helicopter and transported across the mountain range to the base, where she successfully recovered from her ordeal. The rescue was completed without injury to the animal.
