Moonlighter 2 The Endless Vault gets a 1.0 release date as it leaves Steam Early Access in September
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, the dungeon-crawling shopkeeper sequel from developer Digital Sun and publisher 11 Bit Studios, will leave Steam Early Access with a full 1.0 launch on 2 September. To mark the occasion, the developer and publisher are giving away the original Moonlighter on Steam for a limited time, rewarding the strong reception the sequel has had since its early access debut last autumn.
The 1.0 update will add a conclusion to the story, along with new weapons, new armour and a "Bomb path" ability that makes enemies explode. Moonlighter 2 currently holds around 1,200 "Very Positive" reviews on Steam, and the full release will also bring it to Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5, having previously only been available on Windows PC and Xbox Series X during early access. Its launch lands amid a crowded run of autumn releases, with titles including Star Wars Zero Company, The Blood of Dawnwalker, Onimusha: Way of the Sword and Silent Hill: Townfall also due out around the same period.
