The Football Association of Wales cited failures in "governance, processes, leadership, values, stakeholder management, communications and sound judgment", while Serbia said the withdrawal was "the only logical and rational step" given the damage to Fifa's reputation. Sweden also confirmed opposition, though Switzerland stopped short of abandoning its countryman, seeking further talks instead. More countries, including from Asia and North/Central America, are expected to follow suit in what amounts to a vote of no confidence intended to push Infantino towards resignation, though the process could be prolonged.
