A new poll from More in Common has found that more Britons view Restore Britain's Rupert Lowe as doing a good job leading his party than think the same of Green Party leader Zack Polanski, despite the Greens polling higher overall in voting intention. The finding comes as Polanski faces an internal party challenge over his bid to become the Greens' candidate for the Holborn and St Pancras by-election, triggered by Sir Keir Starmer's resignation as an MP, highlighting tension between leadership approval and broader electoral support for both parties.

Just 15 per cent of Britons think Polanski is doing a good job, against 17 per cent for Lowe, while 43 per cent rate Polanski poorly compared with 24 per cent for Lowe; yet the Greens lead in voting intention at 9 per cent versus Restore Britain's 6 per cent. Restore Britain is drawing roughly 11 per cent of Reform UK's 2024 voters, though most of its support comes from people who did not vote in 2024. Lowe, who left Reform UK in March 2025 amid bullying allegations (on which the CPS brought no charges) before founding Restore Britain, has also faced scrutiny over earning more than £100,000 from X posts via Elon Musk's "creator revenue" programme, which he defended by noting he donates his MP salary to local charities. Green Party members in Holborn and St Pancras are due to select their by-election candidate this Thursday, with the result announced Friday.
