Morgan aims to show new attacking threat for Wales
Jac Morgan says his move to Gloucester has given him more chances to carry the ball and develop his attacking game. The Wales flanker hopes to bring that added threat to the international side when they face Japan in the Nations Championship on Saturday.
Morgan has beaten 18 defenders and made a league-leading 102 metres in contact for second-placed Gloucester, while also leading the Premiership for turnovers and ranking second for tackles. He has scored twice since joining from Ospreys in the summer, and previously earned two British and Irish Lions caps in Australia. Wales are seeking signs of progress under coach Steve Tandy after mixed results, with the 2027 World Cup in view.

Explained simply
Jac Morgan is a flanker, a forward whose role includes tackling opponents, winning possession and supporting attacks. He came through Welsh club side Ospreys before joining English club Gloucester, where he has had more chances to run with the ball.
Morgan has also played for the British and Irish Lions, a touring team made up of leading players from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Wales coach Steve Tandy is looking to build the team’s performance as it works towards the 2027 Rugby World Cup, with matches in the Nations Championship part of that process.
