Country singer Morgan Wallen sustained an ankle injury whilst departing his opening Michigan show of his tour. After jumping to greet fans in the stands, he misjudged his landing and rolled his ankle. Video footage shows him recovering quickly to continue into the tunnel, though he subsequently collapsed out of sight, holding his ankle. He notified his audience via social media that he might appear limited in mobility during his second performance that same evening, which he went on to complete without reported difficulties.

The concert was also marked by controversy when a phone landed on stage during his performance of 'I Got Better'. Wallen visibly reacted with frustration and attempted to point the responsible fan out to security staff. This incident fits within a larger pattern of negative interactions between Wallen and audience members recording him, including previous occasions where he has physically removed phones from the stage or, most recently, taken a phone directly from a security guard's hand and thrown it.
