The family had turned around after feeling liquid land on them and reportedly saw the man exposing himself, prompting a brief confrontation before they left and alerted security. The incident, which went viral after being filmed, highlights ongoing concerns about crowd behaviour at large stadium concerts.

According to the family's account, given to TMZ, Troy Grevelding was attending with his wife, brother and niece when the man behind them, described as belligerent and apparently intoxicated, began urinating. Video showed officers initially saying they could not arrest the man as they had not personally witnessed the act, but the Maryland Transportation Authority Police has since confirmed an "active and open" criminal investigation. It is reportedly the third notable bathroom-related incident at a major US concert this summer, following similar episodes at shows by Noah Kahan and 5 Seconds of Summer.
