She questioned why such "uncancellable" celebrities would not publicly support basic statements about Palestinian children's right to education and hospitals, arguing they should "risk something" to help save lives. Her activism has drawn significant pushback from critics who argue her focus is disproportionate.

In response to her advocacy, Rabbi Yaakov Menken from the Coalition for Jewish Values claimed that Accurso devotes disproportionate attention to Palestinian children compared to children suffering elsewhere, stating that 0.09% of starving children receive 90% of her attention. Elizabeth Barcohana, the California Republican Party's Jewish engagement chair, accused Accurso of "sanitizing terrorism" with misleading information. The discussion also addressed rapper Macklemore's removal from Ed Sheeran's U.S. tour following pro-Palestine remarks; Macklemore subsequently pledged $1 million to Palestinian aid organisations, which Accurso matched. Accurso characterised Israel's conduct in Gaza as genocide, citing a UN Commission of Inquiry's June conclusions that Israeli forces deliberately targeted Palestinian children, though Israel disputed these findings. A separate genocide case remains pending before the International Court of Justice.
