However, executives clarified that despite this record-breaking launch, the set still trails behind last year's Final Fantasy crossover in total sales, meaning Final Fantasy retains its title as Magic's best-selling set overall.

Marvel Super Heroes, released globally on 26 June, became the fastest Magic set ever to reach $300 million in revenue, with CEO Chris Cocks citing strong reorders and sell-through alongside a 32% quarterly revenue increase driven partly by the Secrets of Strixhaven set. CFO Gina Goetter described Marvel Super Heroes as the "second largest" Universes Beyond set ever, "not quite as big as Final Fantasy yet," leaving open whether it could eventually overtake it as sales continue over time.
