A new BBC documentary features multiple women alleging that Jared Leto, the Oscar-winning actor and Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman, sexually assaulted or harassed them when they were teenagers. The programme, titled "Jared Leto: Hollywood's Dark Secret," reports that the alleged incidents occurred between 2002 and 2016, when the women were in their teens and Leto was in his thirties and forties, raising fresh questions about alleged abuses of power and access within the entertainment industry.

The documentary airs on BBC Three at 9pm and BBC One at 10:45pm on 29 July. One accuser, given the pseudonym Isabel, alleges Leto sexually assaulted her in a motel bathroom in 2002 when she was 17, claiming he kissed her before forcing her hand to masturbate him. A second woman, named as Alex, alleges she was threatened with sexual coercion by Leto, according to the excerpt of the report.
