Variety · 3 hours ago

Influence Media Partners, backed by BlackRock-managed funds and accounts, has agreed to buy most of Anthem Entertainment’s music publishing, film and television publishing, and master-recording assets for more than $600 million. The deal highlights continuing investor demand for established music rights, whose songs and screen soundtracks can generate recurring income through streaming, licensing and other uses.

The assets include over 24,000 released songs and more than 60,000 unreleased or unexploited works, with interests in tracks by Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Rush and OneRepublic. Anthem’s film and television catalogue includes music connected to the Spider-Man and Men in Black franchises and Lego Ninjago; the transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to standard conditions.

  • Influence Media will buy Anthem assets for over $600 million.
  • The catalogue includes major pop, rock and screen-music rights.
  • BlackRock-backed investment underscores demand for music intellectual property.
