FlyKnight, a roughly $6 first-person RPG inspired by King’s Field and Lunacid, has received a substantial free Enhanced Edition update from its solo developer. The update strengthens an already well-regarded indie game with more variety and replayability, while its low price makes it an especially attractive recommendation.

The update adds multiple difficulty levels, including a poison swamp exclusive to Hard mode, plus item and enemy randomisation with savable procedural-generation seeds. It also introduces four new weapon types, expands existing categories, improves Steam Deck performance, and includes graphical, interface, balance and bug-fixing changes; the game is temporarily discounted to $4 until 30 September.
